In the map, design thinking is intended as a creative attitude.

It can be adopted by anyone and is independent from role, rank, knowledge, skills or discipline of interest.

The term "design" in design thinking is misleading, and it should not be intended literally, as a reference to design as a discipline or designers as professionals.

In this context, design is intended as the ability to envision new [models or] scenarios of interaction with the reality and transform them into new ideas.

Therefore, design thinking is not a process nor a method and in particular it is not "the design process" or "the design methodology".

It also has nothing to do with design as a profession or designers as professionals.

Design thinking is an attitude that questions the current paradigms and validates it or not by proposing visions, scenarios and ideas.
